Who are we?

Blue Education is a fast-growing education technology start-up working with international students to help them achieve their dreams. We provide guidance and support throughout their final years at school through subject tutoring, exam prep, and university admissions.

What can we offer you?

  • Remote Work - All our tutoring sessions are held online so there is no restriction on where you can work.
  • Flexible Timetable – Our Progress Advisors work to communicate and co-ordinate between you and the students to find times that are suitable for you both.
  • Professional Development as a Tutor – You would work closely with your department’s academic director and would learn new ways to tutor students. You would gain skill and familiarity with tutoring for personal statements, admissions tests, essay competitions, and mock interviews to name a few.
  • A Close-Knit Team – As we are a small company, our full-time team is very personable and approachable. We won’t just be names on the other side of messaging apps, both through video calls and in-person meetings at our central London office, you will hopefully feel comfortable coming to us for support whenever you need it.
  • Salary – A base salary of £25,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience) based on 12-18 hours a week. With potential to earn significantly more depending on how much tutoring you do. We also offer a bonus scheme to our professional tutors.

Responsibilities?

  • Your first responsibility will always be to care for your students. Beyond any development or curriculum work we ask you to do, we are an education company first and foremost and our responsibility is to our students. We will expect you to invest in their learning and look to help them however you can.
  • Tutoring – Design and deliver lessons to students as arranged by your director. Likely areas – A-level content, competitions/essays/olympiads, admissions tests, personal statements, mock interviews. In all cases, your responsibility will be to design the lesson according to the students needs, deliver the lesson, assign and mark homework, send regular reports to the director, and track the student’s progress throughout your courses.
  • Curriculum Design – We are a rapidly expanding company and it will be a key responsibility of our professional tutors to develop curriculums for tutoring our various services (subject based programs, personal statements, admissions tests, etc) and then to take a role in delivering training sessions to our part-time tutors who are currently attending university.
