Role Summary

The role: As a Public Affairs and Campaigns Officer, you will be instrumental in developing and executing advocacy campaigns and public affairs activities. This includes managing supporter journeys, mobilizing community support, and engaging with political stakeholders. Your efforts will focus on building strong relationships with parliamentarians, Samaritans branches, and individuals with lived experience to produce impactful campaign actions, briefings, and events.

Job requirements: Candidates should have robust experience in designing advocacy campaigns and a solid understanding of public affairs, particularly within the Westminster environment. Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills are essential. Being highly organized, proactive, and adaptable with strong project and time-management skills is crucial. Knowledge of suicide prevention, mental health policy, and experience in complex service-delivery charities are desirable.
