As a Barista Market Developer, you have a chance to help us make a difference in Levante and Balears. Your job entails harnessing your deep knowledge of the local coffee scene to build relationships, drive brand awareness, and promote trial experiences for Oatly. You'll need to exhibit collaborative, energetic, flexible, humble, dedicated, supportive, reliable, positive and trustworthy personality traits. Having a solid background in the specialty coffee industry with a deep understanding of the coffee landscape across Levante and Balears is essential. You'll need to carry out the existing development strategy for Oatly Barista Edition within the city scene, foster strong relationships within the diverse coffee community, and execute engaging coffee events promoting sustainability. Ideal candidates are already familiar with the Oatly brand, are deeply connected to the coffee industry in Levante and Balears, feel connected to our mission, and are eager to help drive the plant-based revolution with us.

THE ROLE Oatly is on a rocket-like growth trajectory, with more people embracing plant-based diets for their well-being and the environment. If you're driven to help us make a positive impact in the world, here's your chance to be a change-maker. As a Barista Market Developer (BMD), you will be instrumental in establishing Oatly Barista Edition as the leading dairy-free alternative in Levante and Balears. Your primary responsibilities include leveraging your in-depth knowledge of coffee shops in the area to cultivate strong relationships, drive brand awareness, and promote trial experiences for Oatly. Utilizing your network of influential individuals, you'll advocate for Oatly, embodying our brand values with enthusiasm and comprehensive product knowledge. The role reports into the Barista Team Lead for Southern Europe, but to be remote-based in Valencia and requires native/full professional proficiency in Spanish. English is a nice-to-have.
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE Solid experience within the specialty coffee industry with demonstrable commercial experience. Deep understanding of the coffee landscape across Levante and Balears with strong awareness of emerging trends and market dynamics. The personality to succeed in this role – collaborative, energetic, flexible, humble, dedicated, supportive, reliable, positive and trustworthy. Alignment with Oatly's mission of sustainability, nutritional health, and trust. The ability to thrive in an unconventional work structure, demonstrating a proactive approach and comfort with ambiguity. The physical capability to cover distances on foot while carrying stock.
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO Execute the already existent development strategy for Oatly Barista Edition within the city scene, injecting your personal Insights and creativity. Cultivate robust relationships within Levante and Balears diverse coffee community, encompassing baristas, café owners, and other relevant stakeholders, winning them through your unique personality, outstanding knowledge and strong credibility. Champion Oatly's prominence by actively cultivating strategic partnerships with influential accounts. Promote awareness of sustainability's impact on the coffee industry. Curate and execute engaging coffee events to foster community bonding while spotlighting sustainability. Assist with the execution of larger activations across Levante and Balears and be an inspiring ambassador for the brand (by being yourself).
