Role Summary:
- This role is for a Communications Manager who will spearhead communications initiatives in Spain and extend support to LATAM and other Spanish-speaking markets.
- You will be responsible for implementing our PR strategy, fostering strong media relationships, and fortifying the Oatly brand across key markets.
- As part of the global communications team, you will collaborate with multiple internal teams to achieve commercial goals and present Oatly's mission to the world.
Role Requirements:
- Location: Barcelona; Language: Native Spanish, Professional English
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in communications
- Proficient writing skills and an intrinsic understanding of what makes a story captivating
- Organized multitasker capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Team player with strong communication skills for diverse stakeholders
- Inquisitive and open-minded, with an interest in sustainability and a passion for transforming the global food system. Experience in food & drink or consumer goods industry is advantageous.

THE ROLE We’re looking for a Communications Manager to join our team. In this hands-on role, you’ll drive communications initiatives in Spain while supporting efforts across LATAM and other Spanish-speaking markets. You’ll play a key role in delivering our PR strategy, building strong relationships with media and thought leaders, and strengthening the Oatly brand across key markets You will report to the Head of Communications, France & Southern Europe and be a part of the global communications team working across our markets. You’ll help bring Oatly’s mission to life, making it easier for people to live healthier lives without recklessly taxing the planet’s resources while working day-to-day with brand, sales, BMDs, public affairs, nutrition and sustainability teams to support commercial goals. Here’s the main elements of the role... Support the success of Oatly’s brand, PR and PA campaigns through hands-on earned media and influencer activity Work with Oatly’s regional agencies to create a regular drumbeat of content, sampling and features across priority press and channels Stay close to news, culture and conversations, and help find creative, genuine ways to insert Oatly into people’s lives Support the press office, responding to enquiries and helping protect the brand’s reputation
WHO YOU ARE If the below sounds like you, you could be the ideal person for this job: Based in Barcelona; native Spanish speaker with professional fluency in English A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in communications (agency, start-up or in-house) with a hands-on mindset A love for media, lifestyle trends, social platforms, pop culture and whatever gets people talking, with a good feel for the Spanish-speaking media landscape A passion for writing, with a knack for spotting what makes a story interesting An organised multi-tasker who relishes working on more than one project at any one time A team player who enjoys communicating with a wide range of stakeholders regularly – from press, agencies, influencers to internal stakeholders and teams A natural curiosity and open-mindedness, with the motivation to learn, grow and take on challenges, including supporting communications beyond Spain, across other Spanish-speaking markets An interest in sustainability, mission-led brands and transforming our global food system for the sake of people and planet. Some exposure to food & drink or fast-moving consumer goods is a plus
