Job Summary: Blavity.org is seeking an adept Coordinator to support the launch and management of the Blavity.org Growth Fellows program and its anticipated growth. The Coordinator works closely with, and reports to, the Executive Director. This is a full time remote position with benefits.

Responsibilities:

Internal Systems  (30%)

  • Onboarding of all .org systems (internal infrastructure)
  • Manage info@gmail account (including communication with Fellows)
  • Track Fellow & Alumni data 
  • Scheduling of external meetings
  • Managing consultants supporting .org compliance
  • Supporting new hire onboarding*

Social Media (20%)

  • Work with marketing firm to post on social media platforms, engage with audience where appropriate
  • Support design of digital media strategy to align to key development, program and industry relevant dates
  • Manage production of a weekly newsletter and ongoing social media postings to keep nonprofit and community members engaged and informed of vents and resources. 
  • Manage email list and engagement campaigns
  • Ensure the website is updated and facilitate user needs 

Operations (50%)

  • Serving as the point person for ordering and managing supplies, Fellow materials and donated merchandise 
  • In coordination with Program Officer, assist in managing the Fellowship  program, including helping with orientation, training, scheduling, and project assignments. 
  • Manage documenting and archiving finance duties, including invoicing, assisting with check requests, and reconciliations. This will require close coordination with Program Officer . 
  • Assisting in preparing for board and committee meetings with meeting reminders, communications with board members, and meeting preparation. 
  • Prepare materials for board orientations, retreats, and special events. 
  • Prepare materials for Fellow orientations, retreats and special events. 

Qualifications

  • Experience: Program and partnership management experience, with a track record of supporting regional and/or national organizations; high attention to detail
  • Excellence in organizational skills with the ability achieve strategic objectives, maintain operations systems
  • Proven success working with diverse partners across non profit, corporate and foundations
  • Digital application experience (instagram, LinkedIn etc), with the ability to use tools to engage and inspire a wide range of stakeholders and cultures
  • A proven commitment to the values of a vibrant and inclusive democracy; a strong labor movement; environmental protection; immigrant advocacy; LGBTQ, human, and civil rights; and racial justice
  • Independent, entrepreneurial self-starter who is comfortable taking on a high level of responsibility
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a proven love for transforming unorganized/complex data into rigorously structured, insight-oriented solutions
  • High-energy, company-first, positive attitude; must be motivated to work hard in a fast-paced environment
  • Naturally detail-oriented, with an obsessive need to document and communicate findings
  • A healthy appreciation of GIFs and Black culture

Details: This is a Full time, Remote position that may require attendance to ad hoc meetings in LA.
