Role Summary
- Play a lead role in logistics, resource planning, compliance and staffing, ensuring smooth on-the-day delivery of learning experiences and events.
- Responsible for maintaining efficient ticketing and CRM processes.
- Coordinate with colleagues to deliver high-quality programs and effective data management.

- Having a background in event or operational support is essential.

- Ability to coordinate activities in a customer-facing environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Possess strong organizational skills, detail-oriented nature, proactive approach towards problem-solving, and deliver high-quality visitor experiences.

At Wakehurst, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew’s wild botanic garden in Sussex, we are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Operations Coordinator to join our newly formed Learning and Public Engagement team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in delivering our mission by ensuring our inspiring learning experiences and events run smoothly; from booking and ticketing through to staffing, logistics, and on-the-day delivery. You will be responsible for maintaining efficient operational systems, including ticketing and CRM processes, staff and volunteer scheduling, resource planning, and compliance. Working closely with colleagues across Wakehurst, you will help deliver well-organized, high-quality programmes supported by strong data, effective collaboration, and careful use of resources.

Well organized and detail-focused, you’ll take a practical, proactive approach to solving problems and keeping things running smoothly. You’ll enjoy working with people and take pride in delivering a high-quality visitor experience, with a strong focus on teamwork and getting things done in a busy environment. The role will involve some occasional weekend, evening, and bank holiday work.
