Internships Work is a new collaboration between the National Development Team for Inclusion (NDTi), British Association of Supported Employment (BASE) and DFN Project SEARCH. Funded by the Department for Education, the programme is designed to support more young people with additional needs to have greater choice and control over their future, opening up opportunities that prepare them for adult life and independent living. Find out more about the programme.

We’re looking for an experienced Programme Manager to provide operational and strategic oversight to the Programme. A skilled communicator with the ability to work effectively with partners, local authorities and stakeholders, you’ll be comfortable negotiating with government departments and be a confident leader who’s able to motivate and engage a wide range of people. Working with our talented and welcoming team, you will:

  • Hold joint responsibility for the successful management, co-ordination, planning and execution of the programme, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget and to a high standard
  • Be a key liaison point for our partners and the Department for Education
  • Support programme teams and develop excellent relationships with wider partners and suppliers
  • Ensure effective project-wide communication and that learning and impact from the programme are captured and shared
  • Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities applying effective change, risk and resource management

If you have proven experience of programme or project management, have exceptional communication, organisational and planning skills, can demonstrate outstanding leadership and have well-honed problem-solving skills, we would love to hear from you.

With some travel and working hours at times outside the normal 9-5, this is a demanding but incredibly rewarding role in a flagship national programme at the heart of change.
