Willen Lake, managed by The Parks Trust, an independent charity, is Milton Keynes' favourite park, offering both on and off water activities to individuals and families. The Trust is committed to ensuring over 180 acres of beautiful parkland remains diverse and sustainable for locals and visitors.
Role Summary:

  • Deliver instructional sessions in various watersports disciplines such as Kayaking, Windsurfing, Sailing etc.
  • Cater to participants of varying ages and abilities, ensuring their safety and memorable experience.
  • Work shifts across 7 days operation, typically 8am to 8pm, and commit to working one weekend every two weeks, including some bank holidays.

Role Requirements:

  • Possess at least one of these qualifications - RYA Dinghy Instructor, RYA Windsurfing Instructor etc.
  • Additional qualifications such as RYA Powerboat Level 2 and a first aid certificate are advantageous
  • Undergo an enhanced DBS check

Willen Lake is Milton Keynes' most popular park, offering a variety of activities both on and off the water for families and individuals of all ages. Managed by The Parks Trust, an independent charity, Willen Lake and its surrounding areas span over 180 acres of beautiful parkland. The Parks Trust is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing these spaces, ensuring they remain beautiful, diverse, and sustainable for the enjoyment of Milton Keynes' residents and visitors forever.

The role: We are seeking Watersports Instructors to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instructional sessions in various watersports disciplines such as Sailing, Paddleboarding, Kayaking, Canoeing, and Windsurfing. These sessions will cater to a diverse range of ages and abilities, ensuring all participants have a safe and memorable experience. The position involves working shifts across a 7-day operation, typically from 8am to 8pm, and requires a commitment to work a minimum of one weekend every two weeks, including some bank holidays.

Job requirements: Ideal candidates will possess at least one of the following qualifications: RYA Dinghy Instructor, RYA Windsurfing Instructor, RYA Powerboat Instructor, or BC/UKCC Level 1 Coach. Additional qualifications such as RYA Powerboat Level 2 and a first aid certificate will be considered an advantage. Successful applicants will also be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
