Role Summary:

Role Requirements:
- A degree or equivalent experience, along with substantial procurement or commercial experience in a complex organisation, preferably the public or not-for-profit sector.
- Deep knowledge of public sector procurement legislation and governance.
- Experience in managing complex procurement operations.
- Strong people management and stakeholder management abilities.

The role: As Head of Procurement at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, you will lead a strategic, organisation-wide procurement service, advising on complex and high-value procurements across goods, services, and works. You will ensure spending is well managed, delivers value for money, and supports our wider goals. You will also lead and develop the procurement team, building skills and ensuring a consistent, high-quality service.
Job requirements: Educated to degree level (or equivalent experience), you should have substantial experience in a procurement or commercial role within a complex organisation, ideally within the public or not-for-profit sector. A strong working knowledge of public sector procurement legislation and governance is essential, as is experience in leading or managing complex procurement exercises. Effective people management skills and strong stakeholder management abilities are crucial.
