Copywriter

At TrustedHousesitters, we are a passionate team on a mission to make the world a better place for pets and their owners.

We are looking for a creative copywriter with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join the marketing team. The successful candidate will produce high-quality, SEO-optimised content for a variety of marketing channels, collaborate with other teams, manage the copywriting process, and help shape the brand's tone of voice.

Responsibilities:

• Create original and engaging copy that reflects our brand voice, collaborating with teams across the business including SEO, email, partnerships, social media, and product.
• Work from content briefs to produce regular content for the TrustedHousesitters blog, researching and writing high-quality SEO-optimised articles on the pillar of pets.
• Update existing brand copy and marketing materials to reflect our tone of voice across a variety of key marketing channels, including partnerships and CRM.
• Work with our Head of Content and SEO Manager to produce relevant SEO-optimised content in accordance with our SEO roadmap.
• Manage the copywriting process from brief to feedback to publishing.
• Collaborate with the design, CRM, and partnerships teams to create engaging and standout content.
• Support the wider marketing team by reviewing and proofreading copy as and when needed.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum 2 years+ experience writing copy for a variety of marketing channels, including email, social media, and web.
• Experience writing SEO-optimised copy.
• Experience with content management systems.
• Experience writing engaging content for the pet and/or travel industry would be useful, but not essential.

• You’ll be a creative copywriter with strong research, editing, and proofreading skills.
• You’ll be able to turn your hand to any copy task with ease - from crafting a short and snappy email headline to creating long-form, keyword-optimised web copy.
• You’ll have a strong working knowledge of SEO copywriting best practices.
• You’ll have a natural ability to manage multiple briefs from across the business and marketing team.
• You’ll be self-driven, and enjoy taking ownership of a project and driving it forward.
• You’ll be an excellent communicator, helping to continually hone and shape our brand tone of voice.
• You’ll be comfortable working from content briefs and to deadlines.
• You’ll have a passion for pets, travel, and writing - and share our mission to inspire change within the pet care and travel industry.
