Lead the development of our new data team to help us support teachers to change children’s lives.
Responsibilities
Lead on ensuring data and analytics drive knowledge, insights and shared context for the organisation
Responsible for the continuous improvement and quality of Oak’s data pipeline and data-sets, from data definition through to insight generation
Define analytics frameworks to support the coherent definition of events across independent product squads
Produce and maintain high-quality data-sets and visualisations that support 3rd party educational research and insights
Develop and manage a high performing data team
As a member of the Oak Team, contribute to the planning and culture of the organisation
Work in cross-functional and product oriented squads with colleagues from across the organisation, as required
Deputise for the Head of Product Strategy and take on other general responsibilities as required
Knowledge, skills and experience
3+ years holding responsibility for the continuous improvement of data analysis, insights and visualisation
Experience of recruiting, developing and managing a high performing team of data analysts
Highly capable with Google BigQuery, SQL and data visualisation tools, and confident writing complex queries
Writing production-quality data modelling code with an eye towards performance and maintainability
Proven success doing exploratory data analysis to solve complex problems
The successful candidate will have a desire to contribute in all areas to ensure Oak is successful. You will be comfortable working at pace and you will continuously look at ways that the team can work more smartly. You will be excellent at working as part of a remote team, building relationships and managing your time effectively.
