Ruby-on-Rails Developer

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Ruby on Rails developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Ruby on Rails and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with our team of developers and designers. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering high-quality code and be able to work collaboratively with other team members.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain projects using Ruby on Rails Collaborate with designers and other developers to build high-quality, responsive applications Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and compliance with standards Debug and troubleshoot issues that arise during development and deployment Collaborate with team members to identify and prioritize tasks Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development Continuously improve our development processes and tools

Requirements

2+ years of experience using Ruby on Rails Solid understanding of software development principles and web application architecture Experience with building & consuming APIs Proficient with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) Experience with unit testing Experience with source control (Git) Familiarity with Agile methodologies Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Desired Skills

Familiarity with Rails & containerization (Docker) Experience with GCP, AWS or other cloud platforms Understanding of microservices architecture Experience with testing frameworks such as Minitest, RSpec
