Role Summary

Role Requirements

  • Experience working fast-paced, public-facing roles.
  • Understanding of payment handling or ticketed operations.
  • Organisation skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Able to pass a driving medical assessment and practical driving test post-training.

The role: As an Explorer (Land Train) Driver at Kew Gardens, you will be responsible for driving the land train, delivering a memorable experience to hundreds of Kew’s visitors each day. This role involves confidently driving the land train safely, while providing insightful tour commentary along the route. You will be the friendly face and an ambassador for Kew, representing our values and mission to visitors.

Job requirements: Successful candidates will have experience working with the public in a fast-paced, busy environment. Experience of taking payments or working with ticketed operations is vital. You must be an organised individual with an eye for detail, able to multi-task when necessary but also able to focus on more routine tasks when required. Any offer of employment is subject to passing a driving medical assessment on appointment, and a practical driving assessment following training.
