Role Summary
- Manage the implementation of the Estates maintenance strategy at RBG Kew.
- Oversee the In-House Estates Operations, Maintenance team, and external contractors.
- Plan and coordinate preventative, emergency and reactive maintenance.
- Manage financial and physical resources affectedly.
Role Requirements
- Possess or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and experience to HNC level in engineering, construction or building services.
- A significant amount of senior level management experience.
- Experience in managing both in-house and outsourced estates management service delivery.
- Meeting deadlines and targets is a must.

The role: As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery and implementation of the Estates maintenance strategy under the instruction of the Chief Engineer at RBG Kew. This includes managing the In-House Estates Operations and Maintenance team and 3rd party specialist contractors. Your tasks will involve the planned preventative and emergency and reactive maintenance within RBG Kew's Estate in accordance with the maintenance programme and best practice. You will also be deploying and managing the financial and physical resources available to the section in the most cost-effective manner.
Job requirements: Candidates must be able to demonstrate relevant engineering, construction and/or engineering training/building services training and educated to HNC, or, ability to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge, skills and experience. Significant senior level management experience and experience of managing in-house and outsourced estates management service delivery ensuring deadlines and targets are adhered to are essential.
