The Isle of Rona, a remote island estate between Skye and the West Coast of Scotland, accessible only by private boat, is looking for an Estate worker & partner to join the current population of just two.
The Island’s income stream comes from two holiday properties, stalking and a flourishing venison business. This is an exciting opportunity for successful applicants to help develop & contribute to the island’s future.
The position is for a full-time estate worker to take over a number of responsibilities and enable the manager to concentrate on specific projects with part-time work for a partner. Successful applicants will be able to fulfil a variety of roles including estate and property maintenance and management, housekeeping, logistics, and assisting with deer management, stalking & venison processing.
The island is off grid and has solar panels, generators and inverters, a significant amount of equipment including boats, digger, and machinery, and a variety of properties, all of which need to be maintained. Applicants must be competent or willing to learn the skills to manage & maintain the above.
Personal attributes required: reliable, resilient, competent, enthusiastic, happy in remote areas for long periods, sense of humour, sociable with guests, visitors and colleagues.
A salary package, including accommodation in a beautiful location with outstanding views of the sea, will be commensurate with qualifications & experience.
