Introduction to the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Harper Non-Fiction division, working with retailers, the publishing division, as well as the wider UK sales team.

HarperNonFiction is a market-leading commercial non-fiction publisher, both in the UK and around we world. The home of prize-winning publishing, including international giants such as Debbie Harry and home-grown heroes like Rob Beckett, we are also constantly searching for the next big thing: recent successes include Jay Shetty and James Smith. Our remit is large -we publish serial PB chart toppers such as Cathy Glass alongside bookshop cult favourites with the likes of Adam Buxton and Grace Dent. From hardcover Christmas blockbusters to indie hits, our publishing teams are best in class.

The role requires the ability to form strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, excellent organisation skills and a desire to be involved in the whole publishing process. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering sales targets, through a high standard of account management, and effective development and implementation of company sales strategies. We are looking for someone who can take the initiative and is truly eager to work on our amazing list of authors.

The person will need to be able to collaborate with colleagues across the business to ensure overall business goals are met and play a key role in ensuring the commercial success of the divisions’ key authors and brands across the key UK accounts, from supermarkets and mass market channels to online and high-street.

The Team are open to considering those at the Key Account Manager or Senior Key Account Manager level. Job title will be determined by the hiring manager and will depend on experience level.

  • Willing to learn and take on new challenges
