An unsustainable economy, leading to environmental degradation and the breakdown of our planet's life support systems, is humanity's biggest collective problem.

A lot of money is required to transform the economy and make it sustainable.

That is where we come in.

Solution

We support the sustainable SMEs (small and medium sized enterprises) making this change happen by providing them with loans and by financing sustainable assets.

What we’ve done so far

Our founder is a pioneer of the space and we are scaling an established product market fit with the launch of a new brand.

We plan to exit stealth mode later this year following the conclusion of a funding round which is expected to be circa £30m (GBP 30m)

About the role

This role will be everything you make it.

You will be given a high level of autonomy from day 1 and expected to take initiative and responsibility.

As an experienced entrepreneur with a track record the founder will not be micro-managing you but you will be supporting each other to make this project a success.

  • The first task will be to work closely with the founder to close the current round
  • That will require the usual responsibilities including maintaining a financial model, a pitch deck, and managing the investor process through to closing
  • You will simultaneously be helping to create all aspects of a new organisation and be expected to contribute your own ideas

About you

The most important characteristic you should have is belief in what we are doing.

Key team members are already lined up but you will also be involved in building the team and creating the culture.

Therefore it is crucial that you have a strong and demonstrated interest in sustainability and making a positive contribution to the world.

Previous experience of finance or similar roles would be an advantage.

An understanding of early stage start-ups and scale-ups would be helpful.

You should be highly numerate and literate with great communication skills and a commercial mindset.

You should be comfortable acting in an executive capacity as an extension of the founder and confident to play a lead role across different domains and functions including fundraising, operations, communications, business development and so on.
