About Project Across

Across is part of Founders Factory’s Berlin Venture Studio in partnership with hubraum, the tech incubator of Deutsche Telekom.

We're developing a platform to help digital nomads seamlessly adjust to new locations by providing tailored services, offering support with paperwork, and fostering connections with like-minded communities using an adaptable lifestyle recommendation system.

Our vision and mission is to empower every digital nomad to immediately thrive in new environments, and to become indispensable to digital nomads by offering distinctive solutions while fostering a supportive community.

The Role

Essential elements of the Across product include API integrations, a recommendations engine, and both mobile and web apps, all connected by a thriving community. This presents an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, entrepreneurial product leader to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap from the ground up.

🤔 What will you be responsible for?

Product strategy: Collaborate with the CEO to devise our platform's strategy and core offerings. Roadmap prioritisation: Work with the CEO to prioritise features and align them with company goals. Product development: Actively participate in the product development process, working closely with the tech team to create and test prototypes, gather user feedback, and iterate to enhance user experience. Talent management: Attract and lead the product & engineering team, fostering a collaborative and agile work environment. Startup involvement: Engage in fundraising, strategy development, product positioning, and other vital startup activities while being deeply involved in day-to-day product decisions and execution.

🎯 What are we looking for?

Early stage experience: Comfortable with moving quickly and effectively in an ambiguous environment  Maker-Generalist: This goes beyond being front-end/back-end, we need a resourceful individual who is obsessed with product and growth, not just tech.  Speak simple language: Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non technical audiences in a simple and understandable manner Deadline Oriented: Speed of execution is critical for Across, we don’t want tech to be a blocker Hands-on approach: Willingness to dive into the trenches and work directly with the tech team and other stakeholders to ensure product success Entrepreneurial drive: Has a history of running side projects and knows how to attract users and payment
