Role Summary

Role Requirements

The role: As the first dedicated Senior Security Engineer at Apollo, you will be responsible for establishing and leading our security program. This position is integral to maintaining the trust of our AI lab partners and supporting Apollo's research mission. You will build and manage the security roadmap, conduct risk assessments, and evolve the security measures as our organization grows. Your responsibilities will include defining the security direction for our engineering team, managing our security tooling stack, automating security operations, and driving compliance and certification efforts.

Job requirements: Candidates should have at least 7 years of experience in security engineering or operations, with a proven track record of developing security programs and a familiarity with cloud security and compliance frameworks like ISO 27001 and SOC 2. Hands-on experience with endpoint management and identity/access management is essential, as is experience administering Google Workspace or similar platforms. A strong interest in AI safety and the ability to handle fast-paced, evolving challenges are also crucial.

Benefits: Apollo offers a competitive salary range of £130,000 to £200,000, equity, and comprehensive benefits including flexible work hours, unlimited vacation and sick leave, catered meals on workdays, and a yearly professional development budget of $1,000 USD.
