What we are looking for

We are looking for a 'Culinary Operations Manager’  to join our Product team supporting our Culinary Lead in some key commercial functions.

You are

  • Passionate about food and have a good understanding of recipe development 

  • Analytical and confident using g-suite; in particular google sheets

  • Able to project manage well and coordinate across multiple functions

  • A clear communicator, able to juggle multiple stakeholders 

  • Organised:- You have the ability to manage priorities simultaneously and meet time-sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • A problem solver who thrives under pressure

  • At least 3 years experience within the food industry

You will

Ingredients Scheduling

  • Responsible for managing new ingredient process with Buying & Technical teams 

  • Researching new ingredients that fit with the company ethos and would complement the recipes 

  • Accountable for testing new samples, identifying cost savings where possible

  • Liaise with buyers/suppliers to organise kitchen samples for chefs; assist with formulating briefs 

  • Ensuring seasonality calendars are up to date

  • Responsible for liaising with the Operations team to manage stock control or supplier issues 

  • Manage and advise on last minute ingredient amendments to weekly menus due to product availability

Coordinate the Menu Planning

  • Record & track new proposition launches to aid menu planning process

  • Own the recipe library analysis, gap identification and efficient NPD scheduling

  • Support weekly menu checks on the weekly booklet

Analysis on the Menu

  • Weekly reporting on menu performance

  • Drive insights through data collection and analysis 

  • Look back over menu categories and data points to feed insights into new menu planning 

Recipe Scheduling

  • Managing all weekly ingredient & recipe changes then liaising with with stakeholders on recipe changes, ensuring amends are actioned in a timely way for accurate supplier forecasting & magazine content

  • Working with the Marketing and Kitchen teams on recipe + shoot scheduling

  • Oversee the weekly checks of recipes in menu planning to ensure they are correct and up to date on Back Office - checking scheduled recipes are using approved/seasonal ingredients and the photography is aligned with this
