What we are looking for

We are looking for a temporary Finance Assistant to join our London finance team and be responsible for the accounts payable of our dry stock, R2G stock and packaging.  You will work closely with those at the heart of the company - the food packing operation.

You are

  • Excellent communication skills; confident interacting with both operational and financial employees, internally or based at suppliers
  • Great attention to detail
  • Efficient and hardworking with a flexible and hands-on problem-solving approach
  • Creative, pragmatic and adaptable working mindset
  • Previous AP experience required
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero preferable
  • Experience in a similar industry or start-up preferable 

You will

  • Responsible for our supply chain accounts payable
  • Process a proportion of invoices, ensuring they are coded correctly, posting to Xero
  • Build strong relationships with our suppliers
  • Manage our invoices inbox
  • Maintain the creditors ledger and ensuring no overdue payments
  • Work closely with our goods-in team and our quality control team to ensure that rejections are accurately accounted for
  • Manage our employee expense system
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in processes

Further information:

  • Optional remote working or from our office in Wandsworth 
  • Full time: Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm
  • Office location: Mindful Chef Ltd, Unit D, Discovery House, Juniper Dr, London SW18 1UY. 
  • Monthly trips (with the rest of the core finance team) to our Operations site, located at Oaklands International, Seafield Lane, Redditch B98 9DB
  • This is a temporary position for 3/6 months
