The role: The Kew Specialist Certificate in Ornamental Horticulture is a one-year practical course at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew. Interns will work on a rotational basis within various areas including Rose collections, Seasonal bedding displays, Rock Garden (inc. Davies Alpine House), Aquatic Garden, Woodland Garden, Grass Garden, and the Great Broadwalk Borders. Additionally, there is an opportunity to undertake two weeks of work experience or a travel scholarship related to ornamental horticulture.
Job requirements: This position is ideally suited to a horticultural student, who wants to further their knowledge and experience by working with Kew experts in propagation. Applicants are required to upload a short cover letter (approximately 250 words) explaining their reasons for applying for this particular specialism.
