The role: As an Archives Graduate Trainee, you will be a key part of the Archives and Records Management team within the Library and Archives department. Your responsibilities will include managing archival and modern records collections, providing access to these collections through Reading Room duties, document retrievals, and reprographics orders. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for those interested in a career in archives administration or records management.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a degree and must not be already professionally qualified in Archives and/or Records Management. Some experience in an archive or records management service, either in a voluntary or paid capacity, is required. Full training will be provided for all tasks. Candidates should show an interest in the sector and an intention to pursue a career in this field. Good communication and customer skills are essential, along with the ability to work both in a team and independently, planning and prioritizing a diverse workload.
