WHY WORK WITH OATLY?

Our growth is fast - and accelerating, as more and more people choose to switch to a plant-based diet for the sake of their health and the planet. If you’re thinking you want to be part of making sure Oatly can actively make the world (and France) a better place, we offer you a great opportunity to drive societal change.

The Oatly Department of Mind Control (ODMC) is looking for a Brand Lead in France.

THE ROLE:

You will be part of a global network committed to pushing the sustainability agenda, facilitating societal shifts and empowering the plant-based revolution in line with our values and mission.

As the ODMC Brand Lead you are a fully-fledged member of the ODMC, reporting into the ODMC regional Brand Director.

You are embedded in the local market and invested with a very clear mission: keep Oatly cool and relevant in your market by identifying and planning where and when to show up in local culture, working hand in hand with the Brand Director and the ODMC's Creative/Communications/Media/Events teams to implement campaigns in the most impactful way.

Think of yourself as ODMC driver in the market. Your focus is to identify local intel and insights, understand the commercial side of the business, and distill through Oatly’s brand lens the strategic battles that ODMC will then turn into fearless and unexpected campaigns or activations.

The role is based in Paris, France.

THINGS YOU WILL FOCUS ON:

The brand is your #1 focus

You are the local custodian of one of world’s most un-explainable yet deeply resonating brand and voice.

You are responsible for implementing ODMC campaigns locally in the most impactful ways, ensuring effective amplification through collaborations, activations, events, and plenty of locally relevant weirdness. In short, you manage the work that moves our brand closer to the local audience in your country, functioning as an extension of ODMC in your local market and collaborating frequently/daily with the ODMC Central Team at the global level (External Comms, Internal Comms, Public Affairs, Editorial, Design, Events, Media, Social Media, Partnerships)

You are super knowledgeable about all things Oatly in your market because you build and nurture strong relationships and on-going dialogue with all internal Oatly stakeholders (ODMC Hub, GM, BMDs, Sales, Sustainability, Nutrition, Media&Platforms, etc). Your ability to create effective relationships will be directly proportional to your success in this role.

You also spend your time seeking out opportunities in culture and in the nooks and crannies of your market to make sure our finger remains firmly on the pulse.

When needed, you enjoy rolling up your sleeves and getting things done, loving getting into the details, craft and execution of every implementation.

THINGS YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Work closely with your Brand Director to exchange granular knowledge of the market and discuss strategic opportunities and associated funding
  • Provide strategic support to the GM and Brand Director
  • Create strong alignment and culture with the central ODMC and local team
  • Keep up to date on the local commercial issues and apply that knowledge through a 100% brand lens (vs.a “sales” lens)
  • Maintain relationships and dialogue with ODMC Central Team to ensure the realities of your market are fed into the system
  • Work closely with the central Media & Platform team to ensure optimum local campaign implementation
  • Work closely with the central External Communications team to ensure effective brand amplification in your market
  • Own and manages local implementation and activation of ODMC campaigns
  • Work closely with ODMC creative department to develop, manage and implement local work if/when needed
  • Ensures all local stakeholders are informed about upcoming campaign work

WHO YOU ARE:

You are joining us to make a difference and you are passionate about driving change and mobilise the plant-based revolution.

  • You have at least five years of well-documented experience managing brand activation projects, from a communication/advertising agency or client-side (preferably FMCG), and are well versed in creative development, campaign implementation, key creative production processes across moving content, print, digital, experiential, etc. You know how advertising and other forms of communication work and are familiar with concepts, methods, and terms.
  • Your Project Management background enables you to create environments for making great work within the Oatly organization and with outside partners, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed about upcoming work. You need to be responsive and collaborative, upholding shared agreements, and able to communicate personably and positively.
  • You solve problems while remaining calm, cool, and collected. You argue well for decisions, yours and the team’s, and take accountability where due.
  • You understand the implications of strategic and creative decisions, have the long-term view as well as the practical understanding. You have great problem-solving skills and can pay attention both to the bigger picture and tiny details. Managing multiple assignments while guarding Oatly’s creative principles and brand voice are second nature to you.
  • You are culturally connected with the world and particularly your local market, the brands doing great things, and issues we care about at Oatly.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and are energized by the process of building something lasting that is good for the world and the humans in it
  • You are a proactive self-starter, able to independently plan, initiate and execute tasks and projects. You work well under pressure, delivering day-to-day tasks, as well as finding solutions for the idea and the team.
  • The ODMC is a collaborative environment with transparency and self-leadership at its core, so understanding priorities and consequences is key. You are a great team player, approachable and flexible, able to both ask for help and supporting others, fostering strong working relationships and providing clear details of planning and implementation to others when relevant.
  • For this job, you need excellent verbal and written command of English and French (native preferably).
  • Personal values aligned with the Oatly guiding principles, not afraid of bringing your unique perspective, talent, experience and ideas to any team.

Finally, we count on that you share our values and have a great interest to carry out our mission in order to make the world a little bit better.
