Origin Coffee is one of Europe's leading specialty coffee roasters, known for our direct relationships with progressive coffee producers and our commitment to quality and sustainability. As a certified B Corp, we are a creative force and a values-led business that champions better coffee experiences and believes in doing things correctly from sustainability and sourcing to design, people, and partnerships.

The role: As the new Polhigey NPD Assistant based in our new Brewery in Cornwall, you will be involved in New Product Development, particularly focusing on Ready to Drink and future coffee product innovations. This hands-on role includes supporting products from early recipe trials through to production support and packing. You will work closely with the Ready to Drink Manager, learn quickly, contribute to structured iteration, and help uphold quality and consistency as ideas move from bench to bottle. Additionally, you will occasionally be customer-facing, hosting visitors, partners, and collaborators in NPD and production settings.

Job requirements: We are looking for a coffee professional eager to transition into product development. You should have a strong brewing foundation, an interest in extraction, flavor, and how products land with customers. No previous NPD experience is required, but you should enjoy testing, tweaking, and improving through repetition and detail, and be capable of practical production work as well as running trials. Strong brewing capability, confidence working with recipes, and a methodical approach to trials are essential.

Benefits: Working at Origin offers 26 days' holiday, including your birthday off, plus flexible bank holidays. Enjoy unlimited coffee and discounts on merchandise and partner products. We provide SCA training and learning opportunities for everyone, enhanced family leave, sick pay, period leave, and personal days. Additionally, a 5% employer pension contribution and a 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme and GP service are available. Two paid volunteering days each year are also offered.

Additional information: Travel to Origin sites may be required, and a clean driving license is necessary. Flexibility around trials, launch moments, and production planning is needed.
