Morningstar Sustainalytics is a forward-thinking company revolutionizing the future of investing. We are currently hiring a seasoned Compliance Manager in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. You will report to the Chief Compliance Officer and collaborate with our Global Compliance Team spread across London, Madrid, Toronto, and Timisoara.

Role Summary

  • Implement the Sustainalytics Global Compliance Program
  • Manage regulatory examinations preparation and conduct
  • Draft compliance reports for European regulatory authorities
  • Maintain reporting on existing and upcoming compliance issues
  • Support building relationships with ESMA, compliance colleagues and internal control functions

Role Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of compliance/regulatory control processes experience preferably in Financial Services, Accounting, or Legal professions
  • Experience in handling EU regulatory inquiries
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing compliance/regulatory policies
  • Ability to manage compliance teams
  • Strong communication, analytical and investigative skills
  • Degree in law or related disciplines is considered a plus
  • Understanding of ESG risk rating business considered an advantage

Morningstar Sustainalytics is dedicated to empowering investor success and shaping the future of investing. We are currently seeking a seasoned Compliance Manager to join our team in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. This role reports to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and is an integral part of our Global Compliance team, which includes members in London, Madrid, Toronto, and Timisoara.

The role: As a Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the Sustainalytics Global Compliance Program. Your main tasks will include managing the preparation for, and conduct of, regulatory examinations; drafting compliance reports for European regulatory authorities; and reporting on existing and emerging compliance issues and risks. You will also foster good working relationships with ESMA, compliance colleagues, and other internal control functions, and support the CCO in implementing compliance components in new business processes.

Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have significant experience (around 6 years or more) in compliance/regulatory control processes, preferably developed in Internal Audit in the Financial Services, Accounting, or Legal professions. Experience interacting with and responding to EU regulatory inquiries is essential. You should have a strong background in designing and implementing compliance/regulatory policies and procedures and managing compliance teams. Advanced communication skills, strong analytical and investigative skills, and sound judgment are crucial. A degree, especially in law or a similar discipline, is a plus. Understanding/experience of ESG risk rating business would be an advantage.
