Metering within So Energy is undergoing an exciting transformation with the introduction of smart metering and transformational new technologies. We are currently recruiting for a Smart Metering Team Leader to lead the team who will be at the forefront of that change, providing critical knowledge, support and problem solving to ensure we can continue to provide an outstanding service for our customers. The ideal candidate will be adept at organising, motivating and developing teams, have a proven record for creative problem-solving and show a strong focus on continuous improvement.
What you will be doing:
- Manage, mentor and coach your team to be best in class, delivering fantastic service for our customers
- Monitor objectives and key results, ensuring these are tracked and reported on weekly with continuous improvement measures in place
- Drive innovation within your team to find efficiencies and improve customer experience
- Work cross-functionally with other teams to resolve customer issues and improve response times
- Monitor the installation of smart meters, tracking on completion levels and driving our installers performance
- Act as a key point of contact for our installers, service providers and other third parties
Requirements
- Strong management capabilities that include getting results in high pressure environments
- Enjoy combining performance management with coaching and developing your team
- Excellent verbal communications skills in a one on one environments as well as presenting to internal and external stakeholders
- Robust problem solving and process improvement techniques
- Ability to learn new skills and adapt to change in a fast paced environment
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude
- An ability to work across teams and with people at all levels
- Ability to influence change and support change management activities
- Excellent track record of external stakeholder management, with the ability to performance monitor third-party contracts
- Knowledge of the UK Energy industry and smart metering desirable
