We are looking for a natural leader to build the Poppy’s business from our new location in South West London. 

Salary £36-38k

Start date: August 2023 with an induction in our Tooting location, and then launching our new shop site in Sheen in September. 

Key responsibilities 

  • Be the face of the Poppy’s brand locally, owning and leading our presence in the community from our new shop in Sheen, ensuring an outstanding client experience for anyone who comes into contact with us
  • Confidently sell Poppy’s to people making enquiries locally, including part-arranging funerals.
  • Ensure excellent client experience throughout the sales journey, including seamless transition to the team in Poppy’s HQ.
  • Being an authoritative expert on good death care and the Poppy’s approach. 
  • Building awareness of Poppy’s in the local area with the general community, nurturing productive relationships with relevant groups and communities to build new business pathways. 
  • In conjunction with the wider team, develop and deliver a programme of educational and networking events to be held on site, to build profile and sales'.
  • Managing the site and space including any logistic and housekeeping requirements.

Working Pattern 

  • You will be based full time in our new Sheen location. You will work physically alongside wider team members who will base themselves at the site on a ‘hot desk’ basis and remotely with the full Poppy’s team.
  • You will be expected to spend at least one day per month supporting funerals directly to ensure you stay connected with our core work.

What We Can Offer You: 

Salary: £36-38,000 basic per annum 

Location: Initial induction at our Tooting location and then based at our new Sheen shop. 

Hours: 5 days per week, 9am to 5pm with the potential of some evening and Saturday work by arrangement.

Team: you’ll work autonomously in a busy, thriving team. 

Reporting: you’ll report to the Chief Operating Officer. 

Holidays: 25 days (plus bank holidays).
