About the role:

We’re looking for a Head of Equity and Share Plans to join our Reward team to lead and drive our share options and equity activity. 

Monzo is on a mission to make banking work for everyone, and to do that we need to build world-class reward programmes to attract, retain, engage and motivate the best talent in the world, whilst remaining consistent with our values and culture.

Reporting to the VP of Reward, you’ll be empowered to make a huge impact on the success of the company by leading and delivering on the design and management of our share plans. 

The role

You’ll be responsible for working with the VP of Reward  to set and deliver Monzo’s employee equity strategy. In addition, you’ll lead on:

  • Monzo’s option plan design, framework and policies

  • Annual benchmarking of our option frameworks

  • Quarterly granting and exercise window processes

  • Option pool management and forecasting

  • Shareworks (our online equity management tool)

  • Monzonaut and manager queries, education and support

  • Exploring new equity-based plans

  • Helping Monzo to prepare for a potential IPO

You should apply if:

  • You are a employee share plan expert and you can demonstrate experience managing employee share plans and in particular share option plans

  • You have strong knowledge of UK and US share plan rules 

  • You are adaptable, flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment

It would be a bonus if: 

  • You’ve worked in a technology company and or a private, pre-IPO company

The Interview Process:

 Our interview process involves 4 main stages: 

  1. Recruiter Call

  2. Initial Call with our VP of Reward 

  3. Take home task 

  4. Role specific & Values interview 

Our average process takes around 3-4 weeks but we will always work around your availability.
