Role Summary:
- As a Housekeeper based in Glasgow, you'll be responsible for maintaining cleanliness at our accommodation sites ensuring a safe and friendly environment for children and their families dealing with cancer.
- In your role, you'll provide both physical and emotional support, playing an important part in our Services and Impact Directorate.
Role Requirements:
- Past experience in domestic/commercial cleaning.
- Understanding of general/enhanced cleaning methods and ability to use different cleaning equipment.
- Robust organizational skills along with strong customer care and interpersonal skills.
- Independence, teamwork abilities, physical fitness, and flexibility in duties and work hours.
- A positive and professional approach is essential.

About the role: As a Housekeeper at our Accommodation Service based in Glasgow, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our accommodation sites are clean, safe, and welcoming for children and young people with cancer and their families. This position is integral to our Services and Impact Directorate, providing practical and emotional support to mitigate the impact of a cancer diagnosis and support during their cancer journey via expert needs-led interventions.
Job requirements: We are looking for candidates with previous experience in domestic or commercial cleaning, a firm grasp of general and enhanced cleaning methods, and proficiency in using different types of cleaning equipment. Applicants should be highly organized, have good interpersonal skills, including customer care, and be sensitive to the needs of our service users. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to handle the physical demands of the job are also crucial. A positive and professional attitude and flexibility with work duties and hours are essential.
