REPORTING TO: CEO and working directly with the board.

THE ROLE

 Head up sales and business development operations.

 Develop and nurture relationships to build a network of clients across relevant sectors.

 Regularly feedback industry insights and knowledge gained to support the creation of marketing campaigns and new business opportunities.

 Working closely with our Commercial and Marketing teams identify, manage and generate new business leads through networking, telephone calls, events, social media, face to face meetings etc.

 Prepare and present powerful, persuasive and creative presentations that effectively demonstrate the Flotilla value proposition.

 Be responsible for developing innovative ideas/solutions to help our business grow and stay ahead of the competition.

 Ensure all new business proposals are in line with our business objectives.

 Regularly report the sales pipeline and response rates / conversion rates to the CEO.  

THE PERSON

We work in a small, close team with entrepreneurial, ambitious clients including professional service companies, financial service funds and insurance businesses, so candidates need to have the experience to work with C suite directors and ambition and appetite to build a leading UK climate tech and advisory business, enjoying a meritocratic and bonus-driven culture.

 A minimum of 5 years of sales experience with a proven ability to deliver value to clients.

 Personable and relaxed presentation style that builds new relationships and clients’ trust.

 Excellent communication and presentation skills.

 Have a passion for sustainability, ideally with some experience in the sector although not essential.

 Experience of consultative solution selling with a commercial mindset.

 Comfortable communicating with board level decision makers.

 Hungry to achieve success, constantly looking for new opportunities.

 A ‘get stuff done’ approach to all work. A ‘can do’ attitude who’s not afraid to challenge and innovate.

 You must have excellent problem-solving skills and have the ability to work collaboratively.

 A team player who wants to join a fun and vibrant business in the heart of Yorkshire.

THE GOALS

 To achieve Flotilla’s growth objectives, by targeting key sectors and opportunities where there is a strong strategic fit.

 To meet sales targets, both individually and as a team. Flotilla is looking for profitable growth and this role is pivotal to that.

 Represent the Flotilla brand values and promote our sustainable ethos.

 Over time, recruit and manage a successful and dynamic sales team.

 To monitor the competitive environment to make sure we are always one step ahead.

 To build meaningful and successful relationships, establishing a mutually beneficial set of customer partnerships.

 Work closely with our team of professionals in building a business of the future.

 Understand and promote Flotilla’s suite of products to new and existing clients.

PACKAGE

The position offers a competitive salary and remuneration package, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be offered a base salary commensurate with their experience and qualifications, as well as an attractive benefits package.
