Role Summary

  • Significant part of the Capital Senior Management Team

Role Requirements

  • Strong programme or project management experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder skills
  • Confidence in working within governance and assurance frameworks
  • Previous success in leadership roles and proven record of process improvement
  • Senior level experience in risk management and business assurance activities is compulsory

Arts Council England is an exciting organization dedicated to supporting arts, museums, and libraries through public funding and strategic investment. We are currently looking for a Senior Manager, Operations to join our Capital Team on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid manner, with 1-2 days a week required on-site in one of our offices located in Manchester, Cambridge, Bristol, or Brighton.

The role: As a Senior Manager, Operations, you will be a key member of the Capital Senior Management Team, responsible for streamlining and improving operational processes, coordinating workflows, overseeing performance, assurance, and risk management, and ensuring effective delivery across multiple capital programmes. You will lead and develop a team of Senior Officers, collaborate with colleagues across the organization, and build strong relationships with internal and external partners.

Job requirements: We are seeking candidates with strong programme or project management experience, excellent communication and stakeholder skills, confidence working within governance and assurance frameworks, and a proven track record of leading teams and driving process improvement. Experience in risk management and business assurance activities at a senior level is essential.
