Job Title: Product & Pricing Manager
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (09:00-17:00)
Salary: £dependent on experience and benefits 
Location: Flexible, we could support fully remote or hybrid working from any of our UK offices in London, Cardiff, Durham, Manchester, or Blackpool. Occasional travel to our head office in Blackpool will be required.

We’re building an amazing team and we’re looking for a hardworking and driven Product & Pricing Manager to support us on our journey.

The main purpose of the role is toEnsure our pricing and lending criteria is competitive and aligns to our customer and commercial objectives. Presenting and recommending actions to senior leadership and committees as appropriate.

Our Team

Our Mortgage Division provides first and second charge mortgages to both the Specialist and High Net Worth markets through an approved panel of third-party mortgage introducers.  The First Line risk team oversees all aspects of the origination process from product design through to completion. 

What you will be working on:

Reporting to the Head of First Line Risk, Mortgage Division: -

  • Monitoring pricing and criteria across the specialist lender market, leveraging a depth of understanding of competitor offerings to optimize pricing position.
  • Ensure our pricing, forecasting and performance across the Mortgage portfolio aligns to our customer and commercial objectives, and recommending actions as appropriate.
  • Creation, development, and ongoing management of pricing models. Monitor pricing performance across the loan portfolio versus targets and propose / execute pricing amendments, as required.
  • Lead on improvements that deliver revenue growth by enhancing customer retention and encouraging new business application flow.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders across the business (e.g., Finance, Treasury, Distribution, Credit Risk) to manage, deliver and optimise mortgages performance value and return.
  • Ad hoc analysis to support New Product Development 
  • Maintain ownership of product guide and sourcing systems

What we're looking for:

Essential:

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong pricing experience within a regulated environment
  • Good knowledge of the UK Financial Services marketplace, with knowledge of Banking products / categories (product strategies, pricing, analytics, competitor activity, market developments and trends).
  • Experience of product management in a Financial Services organisation with deep knowledge of pricing optimisation ideally specific to the UK mortgage or Specialist Lending Markets.
  • Familiarity with UK mortgage market regulations including an understanding of Consumer Duty and fair value for customers.
  • Ability to articulate analysis and ideas through clear and concise verbal and written communications, including presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to adapt quickly, calmly, and positively to changing priorities.
  • Experience of working cross-functionally to develop and launch new mortgage products to market.  

Desirable:

  • 5+ years’ experience at a financial services company or fintech
  • Comfortable in ambiguity and experimentation and unafraid to make mistakes, learn quickly, and move on
  • Excel Modelling, Power BI, MicroStrategy (or other database tools e.g. SAS)
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation skills with the ability to adapt presentation style to various audiences.
