What will you be doing?
As Sifted continues to grow with diversified and varied revenue streams, we are becoming a data-centric organisation and so expanding our data monitoring and reporting capabilities to appoint a Senior Analyst to work alongside our Analyst.
In the role of Senior Analyst, reporting to the CFO, you will be a business partner with our sales teams (across media advertising, events and subscriptions) to define operational KPI reporting and assisting the CFO on budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
Core duties include
Business partnering with the sales functions
- Provide an accurate and holistic view of company performance, with specific reference to operational KPI’s.
- Report performance against budgets and forecasts, providing incisive analysis of variances and proactively identifying initiatives to improve business or financial performance.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of the sales functions at Sifted, developing a deep understanding of the clients we work with and products we sell with the goal of supporting the sales process and opportunity development.
- Provide effective reports which monitor funnel metrics, sales forecast, pipeline, sales individual and team performance, sector performance at a regular cadence to senior management within the commercial team.
- Champion the administration of systems, including meticulous usage of CRMs and other sales enhancing tools.
- Be responsible for maintenance and interactive development of said tools, with the aim of improving on reporting and sales results.
Assist CFO on Financial reporting
- Assist with the monthly management accounts as required to support the CFO to deliver timely, accurate results
- Provide scenario modelling, evaluate new business proposals, attrition, and new business insights
- Develop, document and embed scalable finance analysis processes and controls to support significant company growth
- Eventually own the Company's budgets and forecasts, variance analysis and creation of KPI reports. Be able to provide insight and analysis on performance drivers and trends to enable an early understanding of business risks and opportunities
- Support CFO on any ad hoc projects/month end processes as needed
Adhoc business/operational data analysis
- Month end reporting across various editorial metrics
Location
Flexible/hybrid working - pop into our swanky office based in Shoreditch twice a week for some face to face interaction (and yummy snacks from the kitchen!)
Requirements
What skills do you need?
- Be highly numerate with a logical approach to problem-solving and strong attention to detail
- Strong IT skills – specifically advanced Microsoft Excel, VBA, G4A, and other MI-tools
- Extensive CRM experience
- Have a proven ability to business partner and communicate with non-finance stakeholders effectively and articulately.
- Be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, preferably with a strong academic background in a quantitative subject (STEM)
- Have a down to earth style and be comfortable communicating and working with senior management
- Have strong business acumen and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to gather, analyse and present data.
- Be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
- Be a self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and delivery skills
- Experience in a similar role with a strong track record of delivering similar work is highly desirable

- Salary £65k-£75k, dependent on experience
