PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB
The Shop Manager position is overall responsible for the performance of their shop.This role acts as a Shop Keeper taking ownership and the initiative to drive performance through managing KPI’s, including customer experience, developing the team and ensuring White Stuff’s presence in the local community.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Sales and Service Management
- Actively reviewscustomer feedback and observes the team to ensure that they are making ourcustomers feel welcome and at home at our shops. Is then able to identifyand implement changes where needed.
- Drives the team toensures commercial opportunity’s that their shop offers are maximised to increasesales and drive KPI performance
- Understands theimportance of capturing customer data, and ensures the team are compilingcustomer information and identifies marketing opportunities to drive salesand brand awareness
Visual Presentation
- Understands andensures brand VM standards and layouts are implemented in an appropriateway for the shop and local market.
- Creates a commercialenvironment in the shop where the management team consistently evaluatesthe floor layout and Sales trends, and takes appropriate action to ensurethe shop floor is responding to commercial opportunity’s
- Sets the expectationthat Product and Shop standards are excellent, follows this through byregularly reviewing and providing feedback to the team
People Management and development
- Effectively plansstaffing and payroll budgets to ensure staff planning is effective so thatthe right people are in the right places at the right times.
- Ensure the wholemanagement team motivates and inspires the team to achieve KPI performancethrough ensuring we are providing an amazing customer experience to all ofour customers.
- Using the toolsprovided to help develop the teams’ knowledge so they can suggest theright products and outfits for our customers
- Creates businessobjectives for the shop, that the whole shop team can understand how theycan have a positive impact on them
- Sets a positiveatmosphere, through ensuring the management team create a positive teamatmosphere in the shop which is focused on delivering results and workingas a team
Shop Operations
- Reviews the deliveryand replenishment operation to ensure that it is effective and commercial.
- Leads stock take andtakes responsibility to ensure an accurate reconciliation.
- Ensures thatcustomer queries and complaints are dealt with in a positive manner toensure that wherever possible our customers leave happy
- Actively seeks andcreates opportunities in the local area that could benefit the shop, eglocal events
- Ensures that theylook at all recruitment opportunities to be able to attract, recruit andretain high calibre team members
