About Media Trust

At Media Trust, we believe it’s by giving everyone a voice that we’ll get to a more equal society. That’s why we’re working with hundreds of charities to strengthen their storytelling, advocacy and campaigning, press engagement and social media. We do this through media, communications and digital skills training delivered in partnership with our media and creative industry partners and by matching media industry volunteers with charities looking for comms support. At the same time, our youth programmes are giving thousands of young people the creative digital media skills, access, and mentoring support to break into the media.

Digital engagement is critical to advancing our mission. As Digital Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in promoting Media Trust’s programmes, events and resources. You will manage the creation and delivery of digital content to grow our brand profile and engage more people with our work.

• Develop a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely delivery of content that amplifies the voices of our partner charities and communities.

• Optimise content for search engine optimization (SEO) to maximise organic reach and visibility.

• Alongside the Communications Officer, monitor social media marketing trends, analyse data, and make data-driven recommendations to improve reach and impact.

4. Email marketing and CRM:

• Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to nurture relationships with partners, charities, young people and volunteers.

• Use Media Trust's CRM system to segment audiences, track engagement, and analyse campaign effectiveness.

• Optimise email campaigns for deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, and conversions, amplifying the stories and successes of our partners, charities, young people and underrepresented talent.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement website enhancements and optimise conversion rates for our mission-driven initiatives.

6. Digital advertising and paid campaigns:

• Plan and execute digital advertising campaigns across platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and other relevant platforms to amplify the reach and impact of our campaigns. • Monitor campaign performance, optimise ad placements, and analyse results to maximize return on investment (ROI) for our campaigns and programme marketing.

• Stay up-to-date with digital advertising trends and emerging platforms to explore new opportunities for promoting our charitable initiatives.

The successful candidate will have:

1. Excellent Organisational Skills:

Media Trust runs multiple programmes and events, often simultaneously, so you’ll need to stay on top of what’s coming up and prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines effectively.

2. Creativity:

The charities, talent and industry partners we work with are some of the most creative folk in the business. You’ll have an innovative mindset with the ability to think outside the box. You’ll be an excellent writer and communicator who’s adept at developing engaging digital marketing content that effectively communicates Media Trust's mission and values. Though not essential, video-editing skills, and knowledge of design platforms such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premier Pro would be useful.

3. Great Interpersonal Skills:

You’ll be leading weekly stand-up meetings with programme teams and managing marketing campaigns across multiple projects at once. You’ll need excellent communication and collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams and strong relationship-building skills to engage our stakeholders and the wider community.

4. Digital Marketing Expertise:

You’ll have a solid understanding and experience in SEO, social media marketing, email marketing, content creation, website optimisation, and digital advertising. Proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, social media analytics, CRM systems, and digital advertising platforms.

5. A Passion for our Mission:

You’ll have a genuine dedication to creating a more equal society by helping charities and underrepresented communities strengthen their voice in the media.
