The team

The Growth Marketing team’s mission is to lead the business towards high-growth opportunities that are efficient and scalable. Our five year objective is to 5x our monthly customer activations as part of the cross functional Acquire and Activate working group. 

The role

As the Senior Acquisition Manager, you will oversee a team of Growth Marketers who are focused on delivering new active merchants to GoCardless via various marketing channels including Organic and Paid Search, Paid Social and Display.

You will source qualitative and quantitative data research, from our 85,000+ active merchants and external sources to derive insights that lead to opportunities.

You will be responsible for ideating, scoping and delivering market-specific scalable programs to boost merchant acquisition with the full support of designers, developers and a business setup to take this business to the next level

What excites you 

  • You’ll enjoy being the Marketing leader and Player/ Manager within a cross functional working group
  • Being a digital marketing channel expert, ideally in two or more of the following: Organic Search, Paid Search, Paid Social, Display 
  • Owning a seven figure marketing budget, you will love designing and activate localised merchant acquisition and conversion programs in key global markets 
  • Developing strategic acquisition and conversion marketing plans to drive scalable growth with focus on CAC:LTV
  • Providing recommendations and data trends/ insights across channels for sales programs, product improvements and content development. 
  • Providing guidance and recommendations for digital marketing channels, including social media, email and community marketing channels 
  • Developing and optimising the GoCardless Marketing Technology (MarTech) stack.

What excites us  

  • A proven track record in Growth Marketing, leading a team and owning a marketing budget. 
  • You’re comfortable diving into data to product informed strategic recommendations and insights and you have excellent familiarity with search tools and ad platforms 
  • You have a real passion for Growth Marketing and can draw on first hand experiences as well as being well read on winning Growth marketing approaches 
  • You possess enthusiasm and a can-do attitude, willing to get in the weeds 
  • You have strong experience at other SaaS companies, with knowledge of the fintech space a real bonus.
