Job summary:
If you are a smart, ambitious and dynamic professional with a strong passion to make a real difference in the fight against climate change, the below position may be right for you! Your goal as Stakeholder Relations Principal is to help the development of NextGen’s business through building strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders, leading thought leadership activities and insight exchanges, high-quality reporting on the NextGen portfolio, and supporting business development. You will ensure client satisfaction through guaranteeing excellent service as well as understanding needs and developing solutions in coordination with NextGen management.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
- Define and implement an engagement program and thought leadership deliverables for NextGen, including workshops, insight reports, buyer-oriented events, and technology company showcases.
- Plan and organise major NextGen stakeholder meetings and event participation, including the NextGen Annual General Meeting.
- Prepare and deliver update reports for clients and other stakeholders on NextGen’s portfolio of projects, with insights on industry developments, regulations and the landscape impacting the market for long durability carbon offtakes.
- Represent NextGen at industry conferences, events and webinars, showcasing our offering and forging relationships.
- Provide support to the business development team, helping in the creation and execution of strategies and materials to expand our market presence and attract new clients.
- Take an active role in building strong, lasting and trusted relationships with our existing clients and other stakeholders by providing quality service and support, positioning NextGen as a preferred partner.
- Collaborate and support the NextGen team cross-functionally to ensure a high-quality, seamless experience for all clients and stakeholders.
- Continually identify opportunities to improve reporting and relationship management.
- Share proactively know-how and market feedback within the company.
Requirements:
Essential -
- Work experience (five years) in a commercial or public sector setting, collaborating with diverse stakeholders groups.
- Proven capability in planning and executing workshops or events with senior executives and officials.
- Prior delivery of impact reporting, including definition and monitoring impact metrics, preparing and writing impact reports.
- Portfolio of thought leadership work (i.e. white papers, op-eds, etc.) to support advancement of an sustainable market position.
- University degree in Environmental Sciences, Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications or other relevant discipline.
Desirable -
- Strong verbal and writing ability, along with excellent stakeholder and client management skills.
- Clear understanding of network dynamics required to support new sustainable market ecosystems.
- Good prioritisation and time management skills; quick learner. Autonomous and collaborative approach to work.
- Working knowledge of Google Suite applications and MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
