Role Summary

  • Function as the first point of contact for individuals requesting Battersea's assistance.
  • Answer inquiries on intake lines, offering guidance on policies, and providing empathetic customer service.
  • Schedule the intake of animals, ensure necessary data is captured prior to their arrival, and welcome them to our centre by ushering them into kennels and recording critical behavioral and medical details.
  • Operate our Lost Dogs line, assist in reuniting pets with their families both within and outside Battersea.

The role: As a Dog Intake Coordinator at our Battersea Old Windsor centre, you will be the first point of contact for individuals seeking support from Battersea. Your responsibilities will include answering inquiries on our intake lines, offering clear guidance on our policies, and providing supportive, empathetic customer service. You will coordinate the scheduling of animals coming into our care, ensure we have the necessary information before their arrival, and welcome them on-site by settling them into kennels and recording key behavioral and medical details. Additionally, you will operate our Lost Dogs line, assisting in reuniting pets with their families both within and beyond Battersea.
