Seismic was born out of a collective view that we need a Seismic shift to help change society and fix our planet.

We believe that the business community has a huge opportunity and responsibility to help make that happen. We have the vision to help 10 million people join the shift.

What we’re looking for

A Communications Consultant with experience of managing and delivering communications projects, to work on behalf of our clients to promote the value of social and environmentally conscious business.

The role and responsibilities

We’re looking for an action oriented individual ready to take on a Sustainability Communications Consultant role that promotes the value of social and environmentally conscious business. You’ll be delivering an exciting mixture of impact communications projects for our clients.

The exact role definition will be dependent on the desire, capability and experiences of the right person. Key responsibilities are likely to include project managing a programme of comms projects covering:

  • External comms: increasing customer/consumer engagement for our clients through their impact stories and ESG strategy
  • Internal comms: employee engagement in a company’s impact agenda, such as their B Corp journey
  • Copywriting: writing sustainability copy for Impact Reports, case studies, sustainability website pages and client messaging
  • Social Media: creating social posts on sustainability projects and ESG strategy for our clients
  • Content creation: developing inspiring impact related content, including reports, blogs, infographics, videos and animations
  • Impact Reporting: preparing clients’ impact reports, collating sustainability metrics and developing a compelling report
  • PR: identifying and sharing sustainability stories with key press, undertaking media relations, securing features and collating coverage

About you

You believe that humanity and businesses need to make a seismic shift in the right direction and want to apply your communications skills to help make that happen. At the same time you want to work in a friendly, collaborative and empathetic team who are delivering impactful projects for high-profile clients.

You will have strong Communications Consulting experience, delivering sustainability comms projects, ideally from within an agency environment, working across multiple clients. You will be working with our Head of Sustainability Communications, who will guide and train you, so you will have a supportive mentor and the opportunity to learn and gain new skills and experience.

To be successful in this role you would need the following attributes:

  • Copywriting skills are a must
  • Social media management and delivery
  • Report writing
  • Project management
  • PR and media relations
  • Event organisation (online and live events)
  • Research experience (creating and managing surveys, analysing the data, developing a report)
  • Design: creative skills in design and video would be ideal (we use designers for bigger projects, but the ability to create basic content in-house is needed and experience liaising with agencies/freelancers for larger design and digital projects is ideal)
  • Impact experience in social and environmental change, particularly B Corp, would be ideal, but is not essential
  • A qualification in marketing/comms is ideal but not essential

Importantly, you love client work and also working with teammates to iterate products and services. You are a team player – you like a laugh, but are not afraid to graft. You are a student of sustainability, have plenty to offer, and know you have even more to learn.

You are action oriented, have a keen eye for detail and enjoy juggling multiple projects and priorities and enjoy just the right amount of time pressure to help keep productive and focused. You are a ‘people person’ with a knack for building relationships with a diverse group of people.

You are more excited by the opportunities of working for a young, fast growing, ever evolving, purpose-driven business than for a large corporate.

Location

Ideally you will be within commuting distance of our London office.

Working hours

We believe in flexible working hours to better suit our personal lives while being considerate of each other. We generally work office hours but trust each other to make fair decisions.
