Purchasing credits through the carbon markets is one of the most established and scalable ways to channel finance from the private sector to effective climate solutions and work toward societal net zero. Unfortunately, the voluntary carbon markets have been plagued with mistrust and a lack of effectiveness since they’ve emerged – until Sylvera.
To help organizations ensure they're making the most effective investments, Sylvera builds software that independently and accurately automates the evaluation of carbon projects that capture, remove, or avoid emissions. With Sylvera's data and tools, businesses and governments can confidently invest in, benchmark, deliver, and report real climate impact.
Our team is made up of the leading minds in climate change from scientists to academics. We work in partnership with scientific organisations, universities, governments and think tanks to develop and test rigorous and holistic ratings methodologies, leveraging the latest technology. Founded in 2020, Sylvera has 150+ employees across the world with offices in London, New York and Belgrade. We’ve raised over $96million from leading VCs like Balderton Capital, Index Ventures and Insight Partners to date.
What will I be doing? 👩💻👨💻
As part of the Sylvera Talent Team you’ll be at the forefront of interacting with candidates and hiring managers, identifying exceptional talent and helping the team develop a world-class end-to-end hiring process to excel Sylvera’s ambitious growth plans - across Tech, Product and Ratings. You’ll also have fantastic opportunities to progress.
Specific responsibilities will include:You will be shaping the growth of the company through hiring exceptional people to join our team You’ll source talent across multiple disciplines and be the touchpoint for candidates throughout the process Youʼll help build a world-class candidate experience along with other key internal recruiting processes You'll use good data, wisely, to shape our recruiting strategy You’ll establish and maintain meaningful relationships across stakeholders internally You’ll look to increase Sylvera’s employer brand awareness, to support the engagement process
We’re looking for someone who: 🧠💚2+ years of in-house recruiting experience, ideally having recruited within a fast-growing venture-backed business Skilled in full cycle recruitment - from sourcing through qualification, interview and close Adept working in a structured way amidst a fast-paced, often chaotic environment Demonstrable passion for delivering an amazing experience for candidates of all backgrounds Polished communication skills - oral and written Clear and consistent evidence of success To care about the future of the planet - you want to solve climate change in the most high-leverage way possible Is a self-starter who thrives in constantly evolving environments, ideally with early-stage start-up experience
