Your impact

As Otrium’s Chief of Staff, you will directly report to the CEO. You will be the CEO’s trusted advisor and strategic counterpart working your magic in the background to ensure the business is always on track. You will also work closely with the executive team to flesh out the long and short term goals of the company, and make sure the company’s in-year execution aligns to those goals. You’ll make an impact by keeping Otrium focused on our strategic priorities, unblocking issues and driving tangible business results.

Your responsibilities;

  • Collaborate with executive team to align long-term vision with in-year execution through strategic frameworks such as Annual Planning, OKRs, & Quarterly / Monthly Business Reviews
  • Drive clarity for employees at all levels on the long-term vision of the company and the role each department, team, and individual contributor plays in achieving company vision
  • Plan for and deliver company board meeting materials, including holding the pen on story-line, deck, supporting pre-reads, and associated analysis and prepping the team and running point on managing ad-hoc investor requests
  • Continuously assess Otrium’s operating cadence. You’re responsible for leading and preparing company meetings, incl. executive team meetings, town-halls
  • Lead and execute ad-hoc high-priority projects within the company in collaboration with leaders across the business
  • Act as a sounding board to the CEO and the Executive Team and ensuring the CEO’s time is spent on the most effective matters by taking things off their plate and moving projects forward
  • Serve as an impartial liaison / strategic advisor during budget season, supporting the development of department-level strategies & goals, and facilitating trade-off analyses of ideas competing for constrained resources
  • Work closely with shared functions such as Finance and HR to devise company’s Annual Planning Process, serve as the “glue” across teams to bring the framework together and deliver final budget for board sign off
  • Implement and maintain a classification and prioritization framework for assessing the company’s highest value-at-stake, most cross-functional and complex initiatives
  • Stand up the company’s Project Management Center of Excellence (CoE) to provide company with consistent templates, tools, resources, and training materials to plan for and implement project-based work
  • Directly manage the  execution of the company’s most strategic, cross functional, high-impact programs and projects, continuously monitoring associated success metrics to ensure our big bets pay off
  • Occasionally manage QBRs, MBRs, and WBRs to keep the business focused on the metrics that matter, quickly identify existing pain points or underperforming KPIs, and work cross-functionally with relevant teams to identify, prioritize, and implement quick-ship solutions to improve performance

What you’ll bring to the team;

  • Excellent communication and organizational management skills
  • Can clearly articulate strategic, often highly complex ideas or initiatives in a way that all customers, brands, and employees can understand
  • Are a natural multitasker, able to move quickly from long-term thinking to short-term execution
  • Thrive in ambiguity and are not afraid of fast-paced, high-growth businesses
  • An extremely strong bias towards taking action and problem solving
  • Must be able to build trusting relationships and collaborate with the executive team
  • Must be willing to speak truth to power and openly, empathetically challenge standard thinking with new ideas, fresh approaches and solutions

  • You’re comfortable working in an individual contributor role and are highly versatile in order to be able to dive in and out of topics as needed
  • Strong EQ and willingness to listen and learn
  • Impeccable time management and the ability to juggle multiple high-priority projects at the same time
  • Strong working knowledge of management strategies, technology marketplace / e-commerce business models, and detailed execution frameworks (agile/waterfall/hybrid)
