Social Media Support Volunteer

Africana Skincare is a natural skincare brand from Ghana, Africa, with the mission of offering natural African beauty products that preserve your health, the environment and support local African communities.

We collaborate with local Ghanaian artisans for the creation of our packaging which is 100% sustainable. Almost each part of our packaging comes from plants grown in Ghana.

We currently offer two skincare products: unrefined shea butter and African black soap. This is obtained through a collaboration we have with a women's cooperative in Northern Ghana which has the aim of helping reduce gender inequality.

We are currently looking for someone who can support us in Social Media, mostly in upholding and building our social media presence.

This is an unpaid position but we would be very happy to support you in a trip to Ghana by offering free accommodation as well as touring together :)

Approx time required: 5 - 10h per week

Required tasks:

• Help create and maintain a social media plan for all our social media sites: Instagram, Facebook & TikTok
• Creating original content which is in line with our values: Reels, stories, etc
• Support us in creating greater engagement & reach wider audiences through various social media strategies
• Tracking analytics and creating basic internal data reports to guide strategy
• Managing the community by responding to comments & messages across all social media platforms
• Writing blog posts

Your key skills:

• Good communicator
• Excellent writing/copywriting skills
• Experience using various social media sites, particularly content creation
• Desirable interest / experience within natural skincare industry
• Desirable previous experience working in Africa or some knowledge about the continent
• Proficient in English and Spanish desirable (as we do share content in English and Spanish). Any other languages also welcome
