The role: As a Senior Flutter Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of new features for the Pod Point Home App, built in Flutter. You will work closely with designers to create intuitive, modern, and beautiful app experiences. Your responsibilities include ensuring quality and performance through testing, review, and refinement, helping bring the Home App to feature parity with our legacy app, and pushing forward the modernisation of the UX. Additionally, you will support the evolution of the app into a Home Energy Management System, integrating new propositions like solar, heat pumps, and smart tariffs. You will also collaborate with backend teams to integrate APIs and services, occasionally contributing to backend work where needed.
Job requirements: You should have extensive experience in mobile app development, ideally with 5+ years overall and at least 2+ years’ hands-on Flutter experience, delivering production-grade apps. A strong grasp of app architecture, state management, and testing in Flutter is essential. An appreciation for design and UX is crucial as you will be working closely with designers to build elegant interfaces. Experience integrating REST APIs or GraphQL services is required.
Benefits: Pod offers a flexible hybrid working model, allowing you to work from our London office between 8-12 days per month. We provide access to the 'UnMind' wellbeing platform for you and up to 5 family/friends, a Pod Charger, the ability to work abroad for up to 20 days per year, a family & friend discount scheme, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, a very generous parental and family leave, a pension scheme with a 4.5% matched contribution, eyecare scheme, life insurance covering up to 4x your annual salary, a virtual GP provided by HealthHero, an Employee Assistance Program, free Mortgage Advice, discounted Gym Memberships, and a Cycle2Work Scheme.
