The role overview
Origin Coffee’s Education Manager holds a multifunctional and brand-led position, responsible for designing, developing, and delivering our training programs. A hybrid role, operating at all Origin Coffee locations and customer sites, the role involves leading comprehensive training for our retail sites in London, Cornwall, and Bristol, encompassing Origin Coffee employees, wholesale customers, and home enthusiast courses and events coordination.
Our Education Manager will deliver exceptional training for our retail employees, wholesale customers, and coffee enthusiasts. This role demands a dynamic individual with coffee expertise, strong leadership, and effective communication skills.
As an experienced AST, you'll leverage your profound knowledge of coffee brewing equipment. The ideal candidate is confident, an excellent communicator, and skilled in crafting educational coffee content. Team management experience and collaboration with experienced baristas and hospitality professionals are crucial.

- Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for retail sites, ensuring that our baristas consistently deliver high-quality coffee experiences to our customers.
- Design and deliver training sessions for our leading wholesale customers, helping them elevate their coffee offerings and brewing techniques.
- Organise and facilitate engaging home enthusiast courses and events, catering to individuals passionate about improving their coffee brewing skills.
- Train and provide guidance to a team of trainers, ensuring consistent training standards across all platforms.
- Collaborate with experienced baristas and hospitality professionals, working closely to understand industry trends and incorporate them into our training programs.
- Create and curate educational coffee content, including written materials, videos, and interactive sessions, to enhance the learning experience for various audiences.
- Utilise your exceptional knowledge of coffee brewing equipment to educate employees and customers on proper usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align training initiatives with broader company goals and objectives.

Essential qualities to have

- Previous experience working closely with skilled baristas and hospitality professionals.

Desirable qualities to have
- AST qualification or working towards.
- Q Grader certification or working towards.

Competitive Salary
Up to £35,000 FTE per annum DOE. Salary is negotiable for the candidate with the knowledge and skills required to fulfil all elements of the role.
Nature of contract and working pattern
Permanent and full-time. Origin Coffee supports flexible working options for the right candidate who can meet both the role and the needs of the business.
Holidays
26 days including your birthday off, as well as 8 bank and public holiday's
