Role Summary

  • Manage and close direct transactions with small-scale businesses.
  • Work hands-on with clients from initial contact to agreement signing.

Role Requirements

  • Prior experience in owning end-to-end B2B sales deals with customers.
  • Strong customer communication skills and ability to drive deals to a clear conclusion.

  • Beneficial: experience in energy, utilities, customer procurement, high volume commercial team and a keen interest in sustainability and clean energy.

Today's wholesale energy market is stacked in favor of the few. It's a product of an age of oil and gas, riddled with markups and middlemen. We're changing that. Our product, RED™, built on a proprietary pricing engine that bypasses the wholesale market, enables businesses to buy the energy produced by renewable generators directly. That's 100% transparent transactions, ensuring affordable bills and fair compensation, to give every business ownership and control over where their energy comes from. Since launching in 2021, we've saved UK businesses and generators over £20 million, powering a growing network of forward-thinking companies, from Pizza Pilgrims to Silverstone. Backed by top-tier VCs such as Atomico and Albion, we're creating a new category in energy - one that's local, decentralized, and built on trust.

The Role: We're hiring a Direct SMB Originator. Your job is to own and close smaller direct SMB deals end-to-end on the customer side. You will work directly with businesses buying energy through tem, guiding them from first contact to signed agreement and a clean handoff. This role helps the wider team stay focused by ensuring enterprise originators can spend their time on bigger, more complex deals, while you reliably cover the long tail of direct SMB demand. You will run a simple, high-velocity motion: qualify, progress, close, and hand off cleanly. You'll spend a lot of time speaking with customers, keeping pipeline tight, and making sure small direct deals do not stall or get lost.

Requirements: Must haves Experience in direct B2B sales where you owned deals end-to-end with the customer. Comfortable speaking with customers every day and driving deals to a clear outcome. Strong follow-up and pipeline management habits. Clear communicator who keeps internal handoffs simple and tidy. Coachable and motivated to grow through the ranks. Desirable Experience in energy, utilities, or customer procurement processes (nice to have, not required). Experience working in a fast-moving commercial team with high volume and short cycles. Interest in sustainability and clean energy.
