We are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to join our team in North Acton, London. This role is crucial for managing and supporting the transport operation at our main North Acton Depot and smaller Oldbury depot, which includes approximately 90 vehicles.
The role: As the Transport Manager, you will have full ownership of the fleet operations. Your responsibilities will include ensuring all fleet assets are serviced, maintaining MOT requirements, and keeping all paperwork and systems updated promptly. You will also be responsible for sourcing and building relationships with third parties, such as garages, to ensure the company receives the best service at a competitive cost. Additionally, you will investigate vehicle accidents and infringements and manage the follow-up processes.
Job requirements: The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of fleet regulations and previous management experience in logistics or a similar field. A CPC (national or international) is required. You should also possess good IT skills, a strong understanding of Transport Regulations, excellent organizational and budget-handling skills. Experience with FORS and ISO is desirable.
