Role Summary
- Lead daily reading and writing sessions for students from Year 5 to Year 8.
- Conduct both online and in-person lessons in Hackney.
- Oversee volunteers and guide them in supporting the classes.
- Deliver monitoring and evaluation of progress.
- Partake in termly celebration events and manage administrative tasks to enable smooth operation.
Role Requirements
- Passionate about education and experienced in leading groups of children.

The role: As a Session Leader, you will be integral to our team, leading daily reading and writing sessions for pupils in Years 5-8. Your responsibilities will include leading learning activities both virtually and in-person in Hackney, briefing and supporting volunteers during sessions, and delivering monitoring and evaluation activities to assess progress. Additionally, you will engage in termly celebration events and various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of sessions.
Job requirements: We are looking for passionate individuals who can deliver engaging sessions from a plan, manage large groups of children effectively, and are excited about using digital tools in education. Candidates should have experience leading groups of children and be adept at managing a dynamic and changeable environment. While specific experiences in similar roles are beneficial, we value a candidate's potential to learn and adapt more highly.
