Job Title: Head of Savings 
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (09:00-17:00) 
Salary: £65-80k and up to 30% bonus and benefits 
Location: Flexible – Embrace fully remote or hybrid work from any of our vibrant UK offices in London, Cardiff, Durham, Manchester, or Blackpool. Occasional travel will be required.

The main purpose of the role is to set and deliver the balance sheet and margin targets for our rapidly growing savings portfolio. We are looking for an innovative, curious leader to help us bring to market the propositions that help our customers achieve their savings goals.

As part of the commercially focused savings team within Tandem, our purpose is work closely with Digital and Treasury functions to develop the capability to sustainably grow the savings portfolio. This includes both actively managing our pricing and performance whilst also working on expanding our product set and proposition.
 
Your Impact: Building a greener tomorrow 

As Head of Savings at Tandem your focus will be on:

  • Embedding a performance focused pricing capability for the savings product range
  • Coordinating customer behaviour analysis, to inform proposition development, marketing activity and outflow analysis within the ILAAP
  • Supporting innovation in product, process and proposition design that is based on meeting customer needs and aligned with the strategy of becoming a greener and fairer bank
  • Working with stakeholders across the bank to ensure that all activity is delivered in a way that matches our culture and risk appetite
  • Managing relationships with a number of external partners 

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

  • Highly numerate, with experience of price setting in financial services (ideally savings)
  • Customer focused, with an understanding of customer segmentation and behaviour analysis
  • Able to set strategy and translate it into tactical action
  • Innovative, with experience of bringing simple solutions to complex problems
  • Delivery oriented, matching pragmatism with stakeholder management skills
  • Able to demonstrate sound judgement and business instinct with a desire to challenge traditional thinking

 
It would be great, but not essential if you have:

  • Experience of bringing new products, channels or features to market (ideally savings)
  • Awareness of the ILAAP, specifically retail risk, franchise risk and growth risk
  • Detailed understanding of Funds Transfer Pricing and Interest Rate Risk management
  • Experience managing relationships with deposit taking platforms
  • An entrepreneurial approach with an ability to operate both at a strategic level and to be hands on
