Drive the growth of our refugee business community by shaping TERN's fundraising strategy
Overview
£5000
Hybrid: London / Remote
Expires at anytime
Context:
Since launching in 2016, our community and delivery has been growing more than 30% year on year. This means that in 2023 we are on track to deliver more than 1,500 interventions to 250 unique entrepreneurs in a single calendar year for the first time. This work is driven by a team that has grown to 13 full-time staff members, supported by a revolving team of 6+ contractors, and to keep pace with this growth our budget is likely to exceed £800,000 for the first time in 2023/24.
To date, our fundraising against this budget has been driven almost entirely through our Directors team. We recognise that to sustain our growth rate we will need additional capacity and experience. That is where this role comes in!
The opportunity
We are looking for a versatile impact fundraiser who has a strong tracker record of shaping and delivering innovative fundraising strategies for emerging social impact organisations. You will be working directly with TERN’s Directors to strengthen our fundraising pipeline, diversify our income streams and drive the enduring success of our community.
In this initial 5-month contract, the project will have a lot of flexibility both in working methods and commitment, as well as the space to challenge, iterate and improve our current processes. We do not need the role to deliver instant funding outcomes and appreciate that impact fundraising has long lead terms that will extend beyond this initial contract length. As such, pending mutual agreement after the 5 months, we will be looking to convert this contract into a longer-term fixed position.
